A celebratory dram helped stave off frostbite. No sign of kelts or fresh fish although a mint 1½ lb seatrout was caught and one other lost
Scarie, Feithean & Magarlan
Nice Spring day if a bit cold. The trout were willing to come to the surface and a few were caught. The best a good 2lb 3oz and all in nice condition.
Northerly wind well suited to these sea pools. Not much doing compared to last year however with only a few well conditioned finnock caught.
Very bright and cold and after a week of fairly windy weather the loch was really cloudy. A couple of trout were caught but nothing over 1/2lb.
Same as last week with very cold wind, water stirred up after days of wind and to cap it all, snow! Nothing caught and we left at 3.30pm frozen.
Bright with cold wind and water. A fair number of good condition fish in the 1-2lb range caught. Well done young Rory. His first at 1lb 10oz.
Fished the Griminish area. Hard going in the bright sun. SUAC ran out winners by 1 ½ lbs. We’ll make that up in the return leg on North Uist.
Bright again but a warmer wind. Quite a few fish caught although no very large pollack with the biggest 3lb 5oz.and the best brownie at 1lb 8oz.
Sunny with a strong S wind. Fairly quiet with the majority of fish being 13-14oz. Rhodri had the best trout at a respectable 1lb 9oz.
Bright and warm. Good number of trout (& hundreds of smolts) caught. NUAC best of the 4 teams with a margin of 93oz to take to the second leg.
Loch an Duin & nearby lochs to east
Very windy with a strong easterly and hard going. However everyone had some trout. Not big by Loch an Duin standards, the best at 1lb 9oz.
Really bright again but nice to have an evening outing. Again a few fish caught averaging 12-14oz but one stand out fish at 2lb 1oz was a beauty.
Obisary & nearby lochs to east
Bright and very warm. Fortunately the breeze stayed and put a ripple on the water. Again a few good conditioned fish caught with the best at 1lb.
Overcast with a good breeze if a bit North. The loch was really low and the water warm. Some nice looking fish taken with most ¾ to 1lb.

Described by one member as the best outing this year. Nothing big but plenty with the best just over 1lb. A good trip to one of the remoter lochs.
Midsummer? Water was warmer than the air so only noticed the leak in my waders back on shore! Some lovely fish with the largest 2lb 12oz.
Southerly breeze and for the first time since the beginning of April, rain on an outing! Very fishy looking loch produced lots of trout up to 14oz.
Obbe Na Fiadh & associated lochs
Wet night. Best brown trout at 1lb 12oz and several others averaging a 1½. One sea trout also so overall a good night out on this brackish water.
Very successful day with over 30 visitors trying their hand at casting and burger eating. Thanks to Roger, John and Hans for their services.
Not a great outing which followed a spell of heavy rain. The fish may have headed into the loch. Not much seen other than a 1Lb 11oz grilse.
Fairly quite outing fished in a pretty stiff southerly and drizzle. Best fish a 1lb 9oz sea trout. No sign of any grilse though we think they are there.
