To be honest, not a great deal. Cold NE wind made fishing difficult other than in a few sheltered spots. Only a couple of 1/2lb brown trout in surprisingly good condition caught and returned. It’s a start though.
Kyles surprisingly quiet. A few seatrout taken in Ardheisker sea pool. All were in good condition and returned safely. Most 1lb 4oz best 2lb.

Nice Spring day, a bit bright and with a coldish NW wind. Fish pretty obliging and in good condition. Best of them at 1lb 15, 2lb & 2lb 1oz.
Weather much the same as last week, cold wading! Well conditioned fish caught , nothing under 1¼ the best at 1lb 15oz mostly on nymphs.
Cold northerly, bright sunshine and a loch that was very stirred up after three days of strong winds. Token effort made then abandoned-pity.
Great day but a cold easterly. Lots of well conditioned fish caught and put back. Disappointingly all were in the 10-11” range, nothing bigger.

Sadly I couldn’t be there. Not very nice conditions meant that very few fish were caught and even then the biggest was only 9oz.
No brown trout of any size caught. Largest pollack 2lb 10oz.

Surprisingly no sizeable fish were caught and this was reflected in the scores:- HAC 1lb 3oz, SUAC 1lb 9oz, SAA 2lb 8oz and winning on home water, NUAC with 12lb 8oz. A 10lb lead to carry over to the 2nd leg.
Very, very quiet. Sunny with a cool easterly. Nothing much of note other than good condition brownies of 1lb 7oz for Oliver & 1lb 13oz for Stuart.
Again pretty quiet and similar weather. Only a few small brownies caught. Nice looking and well conditioned fish though.
Overcast and pretty windy. Things were pretty quiet but a number of brownies caught and returned in the more sheltered parts. All 1lb-1¼lb.

Don’t have the full details but NUAC won on the day. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough to claw back the deficit we had from the first round in April. Congratulations to SUAC in winning the trophy.
More people watched the TV in the hope of some team or other getting a spanking. A few fish caught, one guy broken and a very large fish seen.
Ah midsummer! Maybe in the Arctic. Water was warmer than the air. Very little seen or taken which was a great disappointment.

Long hard day but enjoyable and nice to visit other parts of the Western Isles. Choice of 4 lochs so most people had a shot on each. The trout were pretty dour but there were a lot of fish at the weigh in. NUAC managed to hold onto their lead and retain The Poachers Shield.

Shocking night with gales and some fairly serious showers. I stayed until 6:30, no one else turned up so went home, in time for the sun to appear.
Work done to the boat station on Loch an Duin making access a bit safer and providing the boat with a bit more shelter.
Frustrating visit to the seapools. Lots of grilse showing but surprisingly few seatrout. Nothing of note although I lost a seatrout and a salmon.
Salmon & sea trout & brown trout
Annoying again. Lochs stuffed with fresh fish and although a number of grilse were hooked all were lost. Very large fish 20lb ish spotted.
Various lochs fished on the Lochportain peninsular. All produced nice brown trout around the 1lb mark. No real big ones to report.
Good fishing day weather wise. Very few fish seen however they were there. The best was a lovely seatrout of 4lb 13oz.
Fished the night after a serious gale but still produced a fair number of silvery trout in the 11/4lb class. Largest fish was a very nice 2lb 8oz.
Bit wild but not a bad day. A number of finnock caught and returned. Not many sea trout to report though, the biggest was a nice 2lb 5oz.
Good day laid on by Tim with 3 lochs and 3 boats. Rain even stayed off till the end. In total there were 4 grilse best 4lb and 2 sea trout best at 2lb.
